This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is designed for Volkswagen Tiguan models fitted with a 2.0 TDI engine of 1968 cm³, covering engine codes CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CUVC and DFGA, under reference TFU. It replaces a worn dual-clutch unit with a fully reconditioned, tested and installation-ready part.

Reconditioning of the TFU Gearbox

Every TFU gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component. Any gears, synchros, bearings or seals showing wear are replaced, before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances. It then undergoes bench testing that replicates real-world operating conditions. The dual-clutch assembly is supplied new with this reconditioned gearbox. Please note, however, that this gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested — it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer.

Exchange Basis – No Waiting for Delivery

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned TFU gearbox is dispatched before the old unit is collected. The garage or workshop is therefore never left without a solution during the exchange period. The old gearbox — with its casing intact — is only collected after the new part has been delivered and fitted, so the vehicle is not left off the road any longer than necessary. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
