This reconditioned 6-speed manual gearbox is specifically designed for the Volkswagen Transporter fitted with the 2.5 TDI engine (2461 cm³), compatible with engine codes AXD, AXE, BNZ, BPC, under reference JFT.

Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and a detailed inspection of every internal component. Worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as standard. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

• Stiff or crunching gear changes, particularly on lower ratios
• Clunking or juddering when changing gear under load
• Gears jumping out or refusing to engage, especially reverse
• Grinding noise in neutral with the engine running

Exchange basis – the reconditioned unit is dispatched before the old one is collected

This reconditioned gearbox, reference JFT, is sold on an exchange basis: it is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a part and lengthy vehicle downtime is avoided. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, with up to 10 instalments available.
