This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Golf is never left off the road. It carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Tips before fitting the turbo to the 2.0 TDI
On BMM and BMN engines, turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication, poor-quality or overdue oil, a clogged air filter, or a cracked intercooler allowing contaminants to reach the turbine. Before fitting, carefully inspect the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses, and the cleanliness of the air intake. Prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and maximise the service life of the unit.
