Daily and 35C: which mechanical parts for each Iveco generation, from 1999 to 2019?

Twenty years of production separate the first diesel Daily models fitted with the 8140 from the most recent versions equipped with the F1C engines. Between these two extremes, Iveco revised its engine architectures, power outputs and transmissions on several occasions, making it particularly tricky to identify the exact part you need: the same 2.3 or 3.0 can correspond to very different engine codes, power outputs and gearboxes depending on the generation.

Two engine families — engine codes must always be checked

The engines span two main diesel lineages. The older generation is based on the 8140 blocks — available as 8140.23, 8140.43, 8140.43B, 8140.43C, 8140.43R and 8140.43S — fitted to the Daily and 35C from 1999 to the mid-2000s. The modern generation is built around the F1AE and F1CE families, covering the 2.3 Multijet and 3.0 Multijet/HPI/HPT through to 2019, with numerous variants: F1AE0481, F1AE3481, F1CE0481A, F1CE0481F, F1CE0481H, F1CE3481J, among others. For the 2.3, power outputs range from 95 hp to 156 hp depending on the model year; for the 3.0, from 145 hp to 170 hp. Two engines that look identical on the surface can therefore take different gearboxes or turbos: the engine code stamped on the block remains the essential starting point for any order.

Gearboxes, turbos and engines: what the catalogue offers

Gearboxes — all manual, in 5 or 6 speeds depending on the generation and engine — make up the majority of the catalogue. Turbos cover both engine families, in reconditioned or new versions. Bare engines round out the range for the most in-demand blocks, led by the 2.3 and 3.0 Multijet. The 70C, less common, is also represented.
