Reconditioned BMW X1 2.0d Gearbox

Q: How can I be sure it is compatible with my BMW?

Compatibility depends on the engine / gearbox code, not just the model. The most reliable way is your number plate or registration document: our advisers confirm the right gearbox for your vehicle before you order.

Q: Do I need to send back my old unit?

Yes, that is the principle of an exchange unit: you return your old gearbox (the core), which we recondition in turn. We arrange transport both ways, so you don't have to handle any logistics.

5 reconditioned references on an exchange basis, from €1821 to €2895 — up to 24 months' warranty, delivery across France & Europe.

N47D20 or B47D20: which 6-speed manual gearbox fits the X1 2.0d?

The answer lies in the engine code, not the year alone. The X1 2.0d received two distinct diesel units over the 2009–2022 period: the N47D20 on the early generations (E84), then the B47D20 from the F48 series onwards — and the associated gearboxes, all 6-speed manuals, are not interchangeable.

The references in this collection (GS6X60DA, GS6X45DZ, GS6X37DZ…) reflect this variety: the same X1 2.0d from 2015 may belong to the tail end of the E84 generation or the start of the F48, with different gearbox architectures. Checking the engine code stamped on the block before placing any order is therefore essential to avoid a mismatched fitment.
