Restore the full power of your Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI

Behind the wheel of a Skoda Octavia fitted with a 2.0 TDI engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: crisp acceleration, no smoke under throttle, boost pressure building smoothly without hesitation or whistling, and a more relaxed drive whether in town or on the open road. As soon as the turbo starts to weaken, the loss of power, unusual whistling noise or exhaust smoke become noticeable — particularly during sharp acceleration or motorway runs typical of this estate or family saloon.

Compatibility of the new turbo for the Octavia 2.0 TDI

This new turbo is compatible with reference 53039887005, intended for Skoda Octavia models fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine. The engine codes covered on this model are BKD, CFHC and CLCB. Other versions of the Octavia II also use the AZV engine code, producing 136 hp. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference number on your old turbo as well as the engine code on the identification plate or vehicle registration document, to ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle.

Exchange basis and warranty for this turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to your Octavia, so that your vehicle is not off the road any longer than necessary. The turbo is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and after fitting on the 2.0 TDI

On this turbocharged diesel engine, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault: insufficient oil quality, missed oil changes, or a clogged oil filter. A blocked air filter or a damaged intercooler can also upset the air pressure balance and cause premature turbo wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting up for the first time, make sure you prime the oil circuit before starting the engine, so that the turbo never runs dry from the very first revs.
