This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Touran is never left off the road unnecessarily. The part is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting on your 2.0 TDI
On these engines, premature turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication due to incorrect oil grade or missed oil changes, a clogged air filter, or a cracked intercooler allowing contaminants through. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses, and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, make sure the turbo is primed with oil to avoid running dry on first start-up. Gentle driving, particularly during the first few kilometres, will help maximise the service life of the new part.
