Exchange basis and warranty for this turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to your Octavia, so that your vehicle is not off the road any longer than necessary. The turbo is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and after fitting on the 2.0 TDI

On this turbocharged diesel engine, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault: insufficient oil quality, missed oil changes, or a clogged oil filter. A blocked air filter or a damaged intercooler can also upset air pressure and cause premature turbo wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting up for the first time, make sure you prime the oil circuit before starting the engine, so that the turbo never runs dry from the very first revs.
