This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so the van is not left off the road – which is particularly important for a commercial vehicle in daily professional use. The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Fitting and maintenance advice for the NV400 turbo
On NV400 2.3 dCi engines, premature turbo failure is often caused by inadequate lubrication, poor-quality oil or oil that has not been changed at the recommended intervals, a clogged air filter, or a damaged intercooler allowing contaminants through. Before fitting the new turbo, the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake should all be checked. On first start-up, it is recommended to prime the turbo with oil to avoid any dry running, which will help preserve the longevity of the component on a vehicle intended for intensive professional use.
