Diagnosing a faulty turbo on an Audi A3 2.0 TFSI before replacement
Before ordering a new turbo for an Audi A3 2.0 TFSI, it is essential to confirm that the turbo is actually the cause of the problem. A thorough diagnosis starts with a boost pressure check using a diagnostic tool, combined with a visual inspection of the turbo: excessive shaft play, oil traces in the intake hoses, unusual whistling noise, or progressive power loss. You should also check for leaks at the connections, inspect the condition of the boost hose, and verify that the wastegate actuator is functioning correctly before concluding that the turbocharger needs replacing.
Compatibility of the new turbo with the Audi A3 2.0 TFSI
This turbo is compatible with 2.0 TFSI 265 / 280 / 290 / 300 / 310 hp engines, fitted in particular to the Audi A3 and its S3 quattro variant. The relevant engine codes are CJXA, CJXB, CJXC and CJXF. Before placing an order, please check the reference printed on the label of your old turbo to ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle.

Exchange basis and warranty for your Audi A3
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: your old turbo must be returned to us, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Audi A3 is not left off the road unnecessarily. The part is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, up to 10 instalments.
Advice before and after fitting the turbo on an Audi A3 2.0 TFSI
On this engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication resulting from neglected engine oil changes, the use of non-approved oil, or a clogged air filter disrupting the air intake. A dirty or cracked intercooler, as well as aggressive driving without allowing the engine to cool down before switching off, can also accelerate wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses, and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting up for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and extend the life of the part.
