This 6-speed manual gearbox, reference JT4002, fitted to the Dacia Duster with the 1.0 TCe petrol engine (999 cm³), is fully reconditioned before dispatch. The reconditioning process includes complete disassembly, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Dacia Duster fitted with the JT4002, several symptoms should raise concern: crunching or grinding when changing gear, a gear jumping out or refusing to engage, unusual vibrations in neutral, or metallic noises under acceleration. These signs typically indicate advanced wear of the synchros or internal bearings and warrant replacement with a reliable reconditioned gearbox.

Exchange Basis: Your Duster Is Never Off the Road

With our exchange range, the reconditioned JT4002 gearbox is dispatched first, without waiting for the old unit to be returned. The original casing or block, provided it is intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted to the vehicle, so the garage is never left without a part to work with. Return of the old gearbox remains compulsory, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments, to suit your budget.
