This reconditioned gearbox for the Nissan NV400 2.3 dCi (2298 cm³) is supplied under reference ZF4006, compatible with engine codes M9T670, M9T700, M9T702, M9T870, M9T890 and M9T898. A 6-speed manual unit, it is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected before reassembly: every gear, synchromesh ring, bearing and seal is carefully checked, and any worn components are replaced as required. The gearbox is then rebuilt to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
On a van like the NV400, the gearbox is put under considerable strain, particularly when carrying a load. Warning signs to look out for include: crunching or resistance when changing gear, difficulty engaging a gear from cold, unusual noise from the clutch side, vibrations whilst driving, visible oil leaks beneath the vehicle, or a gear jumping out under load. These symptoms point to advanced internal wear and indicate that the unit should be replaced.
