Exchange and warranty for your Touran

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Touran is off the road for as little time as possible. The part comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Signs of wear to watch for on the Touran 2.0 TDI

On these engines, a worn turbo typically shows itself through a loss of power under acceleration, blue or black exhaust smoke, an unusual whistling noise, or excessive oil consumption. These symptoms are often caused by insufficient lubrication, the use of incorrect or neglected engine oil, a clogged air filter, or an aggressive driving style that places excessive demands on the unit.

Fitting advice for a long-lasting installation

Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (feed and return lines), the condition of the intake hoses, and the cleanliness of the air intake to prevent premature contamination. When starting up for the first time, make sure to pre-lubricate the turbo with oil before the initial engine start, to ensure the bearings are immediately lubricated from the very first revolutions.
