Not sure you've found the right part?
The new turbo built for your Audi A1 1.4 TFSI/TSI
The Audi A1 is a versatile city car, typically used for short urban journeys interspersed with longer runs on A-roads or motorways. This constant switching between low-speed idling and full turbo boost puts considerable strain on the turbocharger's air circuit and lubrication system. On the 1.4 TFSI and 1.4 TSI engines fitted to this model, stop-start urban driving without adequate warm-up time accelerates wear on the turbo's bearings and seals – which is why replacing the unit with a new turbo at the first signs of trouble is the sensible course of action.
Compatibility of the new turbo with the Audi A1
This new turbo is compatible with reference 04E145721F and covers the 1.4 TFSI and 1.4 TSI engines (103 to 110 kW, i.e. 140 to 150 hp), with an engine capacity of 1395 cm³, petrol-powered. The associated engine codes are CHPA, CPTA, CZDA, CZEA and CHPB. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the exact reference printed on your old turbo or on the engine plate of your Audi A1, as series revisions may have changed the originally fitted reference.

Exchange basis and warranty for this new turbo
This turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted, so your Audi A1 is never left off the road unnecessarily. Fitting advice for the Audi A1 turbo
Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (feed and return hoses), the condition of the air intake, and that there are no metal particles in the ducts – a sign of failure caused by insufficient lubrication. Also check the condition of the air filter and intercooler, as contamination or a leak can disrupt boost pressure. When starting up for the first time, prime the turbo with oil before the initial engine start, and use a good-quality oil at every service to maximise the life of the new unit.
