This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Peugeot 3008 is never left off the road during the process. The part is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the 1.6 HDi in the 3008
On this 1.6 HDi/BlueHDi engine, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by lubrication issues — poor-quality oil or missed oil changes — a clogged air filter, or a leak at the intercooler. Frequent very short journeys without the engine reaching proper operating temperature can also accelerate wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. On start-up, make sure the turbo is primed with oil before the first start to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings.
