Reconditioned DSG 6 Gearbox for the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI – Reference KCU

This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox is designed for owners of a Skoda Superb fitted with a 2.0 TDI engine of 1968 cm³, compatible with engine codes BKP, CBBB, CFFB, CFGB, CLJA, CRLB and DFHA, under reference KCU. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all wear items including gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, ensuring performance that matches the original specification.

Signs that your DSG 6 gearbox needs replacing

On a Superb 2.0 TDI, a worn DSG 6 gearbox typically makes itself known through juddering or jerking during gear changes, shuddering at low speed in town traffic, an automatic gearbox warning light on the dashboard, slipping under acceleration, or a metallic noise when the selector is in the park position. Limp-home mode – which locks the vehicle to a single gear – is also a common sign that the KCU gearbox requires attention.

  • Juddering or jerking during gear changes
  • Automatic gearbox warning light illuminated
  • Slipping or loss of drive under acceleration
  • Metallic noise in the park position
  • Limp-home mode activated

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is neither supplied nor included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be refitted by you during installation. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reconditioned gearbox.

Exchange basis: immediate delivery, return your old unit afterwards

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned KCU gearbox is delivered to you first, before your old unit is collected. Your used gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This DSG 6 gearbox reference KCU is compatible with 2.0 TDI engines bearing codes BKP, CBBB, CFFB, CFGB, CLJA, CRLB and DFHA fitted to the Skoda Superb.
