This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox is designed for Volkswagen Scirocco models fitted with the 2.0 TSI engine (engine code CCZB, engine capacity 1984 cm³), and corresponds to reference KNC. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs That Your DSG 6 Gearbox Needs Replacing

On a Scirocco 2.0 TSI, a worn DSG 6 gearbox typically makes itself known through juddering during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, jerking at idle, the gearbox warning light coming on, or the vehicle dropping into limp mode. Unusual noises in park or difficulty engaging a gear from cold are also common symptoms on this model.

Under the exchange scheme, the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected. The garage is therefore never left without a part, and the vehicle does not have to wait for a return procedure to be completed before it can be put back on the road. The old gearbox – casing and block intact – is only collected once the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is neither supplied nor included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this gearbox.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment for reference KNC can be spread over multiple instalments – pay in up to 10 instalments.
