This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is designed for the Skoda Octavia fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine (1598 cm³), compatible with engine codes CAYC, CLHA and CRKB, under reference NKA. This type of dual-clutch gearbox is put under considerable strain by urban driving in the Octavia, which accelerates internal wear on mechanical components. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested — it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reconditioned NKA gearbox.
