Exchange basis and warranty for this Ford C-Max turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new part has been delivered and fitted, so your Ford C-Max is off the road for as little time as possible. The part comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and after fitting

On the DV6ATED4 engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication due to a clogged oil filter, missed oil changes, or the wrong grade of oil. Before fitting the new turbo, check the condition of the air filter, intercooler and intake hoses, as well as the cleanliness of the oil circuit, to avoid damaging the new part. When starting up, make sure the turbo is primed with oil before the first start, then drive gently for the first few kilometres to allow the bearings to bed in.
