A new turbo built for everyday use in the Audi A1
A versatile city car, the Audi A1 fitted with the 1.2 TFSI engine is often used for short journeys, daily commutes and urban driving with the occasional run on faster roads. This kind of use — with frequent heat cycles followed by sudden stops — puts considerable strain on the boost system. A new turbo compatible with reference 9V204 restores factory performance levels on this compact petrol engine.
Compatibility with the Audi A1 1.2 TFSI engine
This turbo fits the Audi A1 8X1 1.2 TFSI, a 1197 cm³ engine producing 86 hp (63 kW), associated with engine code CBZA. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the exact reference printed on the old turbo fitted to the vehicle, as production variants may differ depending on the manufacturing date.

Exchange and warranty for this Audi A1 turbo
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Audi A1 is not left off the road during the process. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting the new turbo to your A1
On a 1.2 TFSI engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication, incorrect or neglected oil changes, a clogged air filter or a faulty intercooler. Consistently driving only very short journeys, with no engine cool-down period, also accelerates bearing wear. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate bearing lubrication from the very first start.
