The right turbo for your Skoda Roomster

The Skoda Roomster, widely used as a versatile family vehicle, combines short urban journeys, frequent stop-start driving and longer road trips under heavier loads when its modular cabin is fully loaded. This pattern of use – rapid heat build-up followed by repeated cooling cycles – places considerable strain on the turbocharger of the 1.2 TSI petrol engine. A new turbo compatible with reference 9V204 restores correct boost pressure and reliable operation on this compact turbocharged engine.

Compatibility with Roomster engines

This new turbo is compatible with the 1.2 TSI 86 ch and 1.2 TSI 105 ch engines fitted to the Skoda Roomster, identified by engine codes CBZA, CBZB and CBZC. Before ordering, always check the reference stamped on your original turbo or shown on your service invoice, as several turbo variants may have been fitted to this model depending on the production period and trim level.

Exchange basis and warranty for this Roomster turbo

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. However, the old unit is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Roomster is never left off the road. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

Advice before fitting the turbo to your Roomster

On a 1.2 TSI engine, turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication, poor-quality oil or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter or a cracked intercooler hose disrupting air pressure. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to prevent dry running at start-up and protect the life of the new part.

  • Check the exact reference on the old turbo before ordering
  • Inspect the oil circuit and intercooler hoses
  • Check the condition of the air filter
  • Prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up
  • Drive gently for a period after fitting
