It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to your BMW Série 3, so that your vehicle is not left off the road during the process. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for B47 and N47 engines
On the diesel engines of this Série 3, turbo failure is often linked to insufficient lubrication, incorrect or infrequently changed oil, or a clogged air filter. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the charge pipes and the air intake, as well as the cleanliness of the intercooler. Driving hard immediately after a cold start also accelerates turbo wear. When starting up, it is essential to prime the new turbo with oil before the first start to avoid any dry running.
