Jumper 2.0 HDi from 2002 to 2006: cylinder head cracking — the main reason for replacing the DW10 block

On this generation of Jumper fitted with the 2.0 HDi, the cylinder head is the source of most of the well-documented failures: thermal cracking and a blown head gasket are the most common symptoms, often made worse by overheating that goes undetected in time. The result is a block too badly damaged to repair on its own, leading to replacement of the bare engine. Four engine codes cover this period: DW10FUC, DW10FUD_AHN, DW10FUE_AHM and DW10UTED. Precisely identifying the code stamped on the block is essential: these four variants are not interchangeable.
