Between 2002 and 2013, the Ford Tourneo Connect 1.8 TDCi was fitted with no fewer than 11 distinct engine codes: FFDA, FFBA, HCPC, KKDA, KKDB, QYBA, QYWA, RWPA, RWPC, RWPD and 18DIT. The same engine capacity, the same commercial name, yet blocks that are not interchangeable from one variant to another. Ordering on the basis of "1.8 TDCi" alone is the most common source of error: the registration year is not always sufficient, as Ford sometimes introduced a new code part-way through a production year.

This block, co-developed with PSA, is known for problems with a clogged EGR valve and a failing oil pump at high mileages, which can lead to seizure. On Tourneo vehicles used intensively — heavy loads, repeated urban journeys — wear to the piston rings and cylinder head gasket failure are also regularly observed. The engines offered here are reconditioned bare engines.
