Between 2005 and 2016, the Scénic 2.0 dCi uses the M9R family in eight distinct variants: M9R750, M9R760, M9R780, M9R782, M9R784, M9R802, M9R721 and M9R7E7. These codes are not simply minor variations — they correspond to different engine calibrations, power outputs and production years. Ordering on the basis of "2.0 dCi" alone, without checking the engine code stamped on the block, risks receiving an incompatible part.

The M9R code can be read directly from the engine and also appears on the V5C registration document under section P5. This reference alone determines which part number matches the vehicle. The engines offered here are bare engines: ancillaries, turbo, fuel injection system and accessories are not included.
