The Duster 4x4 and the urban Sandero don't put the same demands on their turbo

A Duster used off-road, heavily loaded or occasionally towing puts its turbo through far more severe thermal cycles than a Sandero used as a daily commuter. A Lodgy driven regularly on motorways doesn't share the same wear profile as a Logan used as a taxi at persistently low revs. This is far from trivial when it comes to replacement: the symptoms (whistling, grey or white smoke, sluggish power build-up) can have different explanations depending on how the vehicle is used — and above all, the cause of the failure must be identified and corrected before any fitting takes place: degraded oil, a clogged intake circuit, bearings worn by frequent cold starts.

K9K: one engine family, different turbos depending on power output

The K9K powers virtually all the Dacia diesel models listed here — Duster, Lodgy, Sandero, Logan — but it comes in many variants. The engine code stamped on the block is the only reliable way to determine which turbo is compatible. The K9K 65–68 hp (codes K9K 700, K9K 702, K9K 708, K9K 710, K9K 714, K9K 716, K9K 740, K9K 752, K9K 768, K9K 790, K9K 792, K9K 800, K9K 840) do not share the same turbo reference as the K9K 75–90 hp (K9K 608, K9K 609, K9K 612, K9K 626, K9K 627, K9K 628, K9K 630, K9K 892, K9K 894), which are themselves distinct from the 109–110 hp versions — including the Duster 110 4x4 — which fall under codes K9K 856, K9K 858, K9K 896, K9K 898, K9K 666 and K9K 846. Confusing a K9K 90 hp with a K9K 68 hp of the same engine capacity means ordering an incompatible part.

Petrol TCe: H5F and H4D, two families not to be mixed up

On the petrol side, the 1.2 TCe is available in 115 hp (codes H5F 400, H5F 402, H5F 403, H5F 408, H5F 412) and 125 hp (H5F 400, H5F 402, H5F 404, H5F 408): some codes are shared across both power outputs, others are not — checking the exact power output remains essential. The 1.0 TCe 90/100 hp (code H4D) is a different, more recent architecture with its own turbo references. All the turbos listed here are new turbos, available for direct purchase, for both diesel and petrol ranges. The original manufacturer reference or equivalent references are shown on each product page: identification must start from there, together with the engine code.
