Between 2014 and 2021, the 1.5 EcoBoost fitted to the Focus was produced under sixteen distinct engine codes: M8DA, M8DB, M8DD, M8MA, M8MC, M8MD, M9DA, M9DB, M9DG, M9MA, M9MD, BNMA, UNCE, UNCI, UNCJ, UNCK. These codes do not represent minor variants — they correspond to different power outputs (150 hp, 182 hp), different generations of timing system, and specific markets.
