Reconditioned Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI Engine

Q: How can I be sure it is compatible with my Volkswagen?

Compatibility depends on the engine / gearbox code, not just the model. The most reliable way is your number plate or registration document: our advisers confirm the right engine for your vehicle before you order.

Q: Do I need to send back my old unit?

Yes, that is the principle of an exchange unit: you return your old engine (the core), which we recondition in turn. We arrange transport both ways, so you don't have to handle any logistics.

5 reconditioned references on an exchange basis, from €2688 to €3200 — up to 24 months' warranty, delivery across France & Europe.

Five engine codes for a city car in intensive use: what this means for the 1.2 TSI in the Polo

A city car like the Polo accumulates short journeys, frequent cold starts and sustained mid-range revs — conditions that place particular strain on the timing system and lubrication of a small turbocharged engine. On the 1.2 TSI, five codes coexist: CBZA, CBZB, CBZC on one side, CJZC and CJZD on the other. These two code families are not interchangeable: confusing one with the other results in an incompatible part, even where engine capacity and power output are identical.

The engine code is stamped on the block and is the only reliable reference for identifying the exact part. Engines are supplied bare, without ancillaries.
