The Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost (2013–2017) is above all a city car used daily, often covering high mileage in stop-and-go driving. The three-cylinder 1.0 EcoBoost produces characteristic vibrations at low revs that the engine mounts transmit to the gearbox bellhousing. A worn mount accelerates wear on the primary shaft bearings — a common early warning sign on this powertrain in intensive urban use. Before removal, checking the condition of the gearbox rubber bushes avoids repeating the same fault on the replacement unit.
