The collection covers model years 2001 to 2018 across four models, with a strong focus on the Wrangler, which alone accounts for the majority of available references. On the petrol side, two engine families are involved: the 4.0 L (codes AMC 242 and PowerTech 4.0) and the 2.5 L (codes AMC 150 / VIN P). Despite a similar architecture, these two engines do not share the same gearbox. On the diesel side, the 2.8 CRD (codes ENR, ENS) and the 2.0 CRD (codes BYL, ECE) each require a different gearbox: confusing these two CRD variants at the point of purchase is a common mistake that leads to a direct incompatibility. The engine code stamped on the block is the essential reference before placing any order — the commercial name alone is not sufficient.
