On the 5008, a single 1.6 HDi can hide thirteen distinct engine codes

This is the most common pitfall with this collection: the engine capacity shown is not enough to identify the unit. The 5008's 1.6 HDi alone covers thirteen engine codes — from DV6DTED to T3DB, taking in NGDA, NGDB, T1DA, T1WA, T1WB and TZJA — corresponding to different generations and architectures depending on the vehicle's year and trim level. Ordering without checking the code stamped on the engine risks receiving an incompatible part, even if the engine capacity and power output appear identical.

Diesel or petrol: clearly distinct engine families

The 5008 (2009–2024) is available with six engine options. On the diesel side, the 2.0 HDi covers eight codes (including AHZ, TXWA, UFDA, UFDB and RH02) from the DW10 family, whilst the 2.0 BlueHDi 150 stands apart with its code AHX (DW10FD), a variant specific to the second-generation 5008. These two 2.0 diesel engines are not interchangeable despite sharing the same engine capacity. On the petrol side, the 1.6 THP (codes 5FV and EP6CDT_5FV) and the 1.6 VTi (5F02) belong to different architectures, the former being turbocharged. The 1.2 PureTech (EB2DTS_HNY) is exclusive to the second-generation 5008.

Bare engine: what this collection covers

All engines listed here are bare engines: ancillaries, turbo, injection system and accessories are not included and should be reused from the old unit. Depending on the reference, the part is available on an exchange basis or rebuilt to 0 km. For each engine option, the engine code is the only reliable means of identification: it appears on a plate or stamped directly on the block, and can generally also be found on the vehicle registration document under section D.2.
