On the 2.2 HDi, fitted with the 4HW (DW12TED4/DW12ATED4) engine, the 5-speed gearbox is less common across the range, making identification by reference even more critical: a mix-up with a gearbox from another model in the same family may look identical visually, yet cause a mounting or linkage incompatibility.
