Between 2006 and 2016, the Boxer 3.0 HDi was fitted exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox — yet behind this apparent uniformity lie three different engine codes: F1CE0481D, F1CE3481E and F30DT. These codes correspond to successive mechanical evolutions of the Iveco FPT block, and gearbox compatibility is determined by engine code — not simply by engine capacity or year. A 2011 Boxer 3.0 is not necessarily fitted with the same code as a 2008 model: checking the code stamped on the block before placing any order is therefore essential.
