The 1.2 in the Fox covers the 2005–2011 period with a single transmission type: the 5-speed manual. This one fact is rarely enough to identify the correct reference. Engine capacity makes no difference; it is the engine code stamped on the block — BMD or CHFB — that determines which gearbox reference matches the vehicle. These two codes do not share the same internal dimensions or shafts, making their references incompatible with one another despite a very similar external appearance.

Multiple references for a single gearbox ratio

The collection covers around ten references identifiable by their three-letter code (LVG, LVC, LUK, LNR, JUS, JUR, JPU, JJL, JHN, JHM). These codes denote internal variants linked to the final drive ratio, the associated clutch version, or production series revisions.
